PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Web Application Development program provides students with the specialized knowledge to develop web applications using several different tools and technologies. With a focus on Microsoft C#.net this program is composed of multiple modules to serve as a baseline in developing and maintaining content-rich Web applications. This program will benefit those who wish to distinguish themselves across a wide range of employment and technical disciplines.

Entrance Requirement: The admission requirement is a college degree in computer science or a closely related field. Individuals with an equivalent knowledge of the background materials through work or self-study may be accepted into this program at the discretion of the school’s Regional Director or Assistant Director. Courses Required to Complete This Diploma Program Include:

PRG00 Introduction to Programming - 45 hours In this course students will learn core programming skills including how to write variables, loops, if – then statements, and more. Focus will be placed on developing best practices in coding regardless of the language.

PRG03 Programming Concepts – 45 hours In this course students will learn HTML 5, CSS, and Javascript.

PRG04 Programming Language 3 – 45 hours In this course students will learn how to program in Visual C#.net using Visual Studio.

WAD03 Web Application Development – 90 hours In this course students will learn how to create web applications using Microsoft MVC, Visual Studio and other Microsoft technologies.

DBA01 Relational Databases – 40 hours In this course students will the core concepts of relational databases and how they are incorporated into Web applications. Focus in this course is on SQL Server and ADO.Net.
